With the release of Blender 4.3, Grease Pencil received a complete overhaul. Grease Pencil 3 has been rewritten from the ground up. Therefore the API changed so I needed to tweak code for Whippet GP to run properly on Blender 4.3+.
I also added new features to Whippet GP that are explained below and will do a deeper dive in an upcoming YouTube video demo.
Lastly, Whippet GP 3.0 is now free! Here is the file:
Future update will make Whippet GP an extension so you can drag and drop directly into Blender. Currently you need to do the Add-on > Install from Disk method to install it.
Whats New:
Keyframe Flipping Options
Two new shortcuts that give you the ability to jump between keyframes.
Custom which keyframes you want to jump between with the GP Keys Only, Active Layer and Loop Frames buttons. Explained in detail below.
Outliner
Quickly select any object from your entire Outliner. Ideal if you don't have a million objects in your scene.
Future update would include a filtering button so you can quickly filter for just GP objects
Updated Layer Menu to include the Group features
Create a new Layer Group and move layers into that group
Additional dropdown sub menu with more Layer options
Brush Asset Selection and additional quick brush features
Blender 4.3 has all brushes function as assets now making it either to manage and share them. The brush asset menu now appears when selecting a brush.
Additional brush tools such as Spacing, Active Smooth and Angle + Factor are available to weak. Note this is best used if you have brushes set up. This is not meant to make new brushes.
